Trillium Leadership
What is your role and primary responsibility within the organization?
I serve the organization as CEO of Trillium Family Services and the Executive Director of the Trillium Family Foundation. With the support of my team members, I lead the direction and vision of both organizations and fight for the de-stigmatization of mental health, believing that mental health is health.
As the CEO I have the opportunity to serve as the voice of our clients, families and staff in advocacy work to the Oregon Legislature, Oregon Health Authority, Department of Human Services and with all of the health insurance companies and other organizations who fund our services and write policies that impact kids and families.
My vision is to support the creation of systems that support whole people, place youth and families at the center of our care and seek real parity with those providing services in the physical health sector.
What is a passion or hobby outside of work that brings you joy?
I have a close-knit family and we value our time together. My husband and I have two amazing daughters who keep me very busy traveling the state with sporting events and dance classes. We enjoy all the outdoor activities the NW has to offer and get outside whenever possible.
What motivated you to pursue a career in mental health?
As a child my father worked for the Department of Human Services and often kids, escaping abuse, would run away to our home seeking help. My Dad gave away our clothes and shoes to kids who needed them in emergency situations. His generosity and commitment to the children left a profound desire within me to find a way to give back and to serve the community.
I started with Trillium in 2002 as a School Based Child & Family Therapist and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to explore so many different roles within the organization over the span of my career.
