  • Yes

  • We require an orientation day and a full week of academy training within the first 30 days for any staff working in direct care.

    We also have monthly training that is required for the first year and there are training or recertifications required every year.

    We encourage continued learning throughout your employment.

  • For many of our community or in-home programs, a driver's license and clean driving record is required as you may be transporting clients.

    Our residential and day treatment programs do not require driving, so it is not necessary to have a license for those positions.

Applying and Employment Opportunities:

  • We help children, adolescents, and families who are having mental health problems that are affecting their day-to-day lives. Most of our youth experience symptoms of trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or psychotic symptoms. The severity of the symptoms and behaviors determines the level of care.

  • Our residential programs typically average 11 clients per unit

  • We have both full time positions with set schedules and assigned programs with flexible positions. This allows you to make your own schedule and fill in at other programs.

    Staff ‌assigned to programs have opportunities to work with different programs and are regularly available to support as needed.

  • Activities vary a bit based on location and population. We highly encourage staff to bring their creativity to our programs and suggest activities that they don't already see present.

    Therapies and activities include:

    Horticultural therapy

    Equine or other pet therapies

    Music groups

    Board and card games

    Art projects

    Physical education activities ( Such as: Riding bikes, playing basketball, access to playgrounds and more)

    Talent shows

    Poetry and creative writing groups

  • Clients are in our residential and day treatment programs for primary safety concerns, which means that they require constant supervision from staff.

    Pocket and room checks are performed regularly to ensure safety.

    If clients are alone in their rooms or doing an individual activity, a visual check is required by staff every 15 minutes.

    If clients are in showers or bathrooms, verbal checks are required by staff every 10 minutes.

  • Your clothing should be clean and neat, meeting safety, and security standards for the employee's position. This includes making sure footwear protects staff from injury during job duties.

    Your clothing shouldn't contain inappropriate content.

    While tattoos are generally not a point of concern, inappropriate content should be covered.

    You should wear clothes that prepare them for physical activities, art groups, daily living tasks, and crisis management.

  • Many of our staff become shift and program supervisors or move on to other positions in the agency.

    It is common for our staff to go on to get advanced degrees and then continue as therapists or other clinical positions in the agency.
