We are proud to announce that Andrew Cannon, Day Treatment Transition Specialist at North Point, will be throwing out the first pitch at the May 24th Oregon State University (OSU) vs University of Southern California (USC) baseball game. Trillium and our anti-stigma campaign Keep Oregon Well have partnered with OSU Athletics to increase our visibility in the Willamette Valley. Through that partnership we were given the opportunity for few staff members to attend the game and to also select the person who throws out the first pitch.
We asked staff to nominate a colleague that they thought was deserving, and Andrew received the most nominations.
Here are some of the reasons staff nominated Andrew.
“Andrew has been a long-time employee with Trillium and most recently has worked as the School Transition Specialist since North Point Day Treatment’s opening in 2016. He is a huge asset to our team, is involved with the Sanctuary Core Committee, and most importantly is an avid Beaver fan. I can’t think of anyone else who best represents Trillium, believes in the work that we do, and supports the Beavers as much as he does.”
“Andrew helps both clients and co-workers do our best here at North Point Day Treatment. I especially appreciate the way that Andrew is always willing to step beyond his job title to take up whatever work best helps our kids. He has also helped all of us work toward bringing Sanctuary values and practices into our program.”
“He has been with the agency for over 10 years and is always taking on extra responsibilities and healing our team out. It would be great for him to be recognized with this! I also know that he LOVES the OSU baseball team and is always up to date on their progress. I really think he would be so surprised and happy to open this game! Please choose Andrew!!!!!”
“He has been with the agency for 10 years in a variety of roles. He is currently our school transition specialist, but does so much more for our team’s moral. He is always there to bounce ideas off, or to educate about the Sanctuary model.”
“Andrew Cannon, currently the amazing school transition specialist at North Point, deserves some fun and is a great representative of Trillium! He works hard to keep things running smoothly for clients here and as they move back into their community school placements. He’s truly one of the faces of Trillium!”
Congratulations, Andrew, and thank you for representing our organization!
