My name is Mary Buzzell and I am the Family Partnership Coordinator for Trillium Family Services (TFS). I am very proud of the commitment TFS makes to families of the children using our services. I work alongside Beth Edens, our Family Support Specialist, to help normalize families’ experiences in care, help find local resources, and work to effect systemic changes to benefit families and children in our communities. Beth and I both started our journeys as parents of children using TFS services.

Of all the varied work I am involved in, I am most proud of our Family Advisory Council! I first joined the council as a parent myself in 2013. I appreciated the opportunity to join with other parents to give feedback and hear details about Trillium’s wide array of programs for children and their families. In 2015 I was lucky enough to join Trillium staff in my current position and began to help facilitate this Advisory group. I continue to be impressed with the core group of families representing all levels of TFS programs, who have made a commitment to join us each month. They recently collaborated on a revised Family Advisory greeting letter for new families entering TFS services and gave valuable family-centered feedback on our Zero Suicide Initiative caring contacts mailers. If you are a parent that has experience with Trillium services, please join us the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Contact me at 541-750-1134 or for more information about location and stipends.
