Preservation Hall Jazz Band is one of those musical experiences that fills you with joy for days on end. We were so excited to see them live at our Keep Oregon Well concert series. Preservation Hall Jazz Band has been performing around the world since their formation in the early 1960’s. A traditional New Orleans style-jazz band, they got their name from the venue the group regularly performed at. Members have varied since their formation over 55 years ago, with their eldest and longest running member, Charlie Gaberiel, still flawlessly playing saxophone at 81 years old. We had the pleasure of sitting down with band members to discuss wellness on the road, longevity of friendship, and how important music is for the soul.
