#KeepOregonWell is joining the nation in celebrating National Public Health Week 2017! #NPHW is a movement to create the healthiest nation in one generation. This campaign takes place the first full week of April each year and has been organized by the American Public Health Association for the past two decades. The Association develops a national campaign to educate the public, policymakers and practitioners about issues related to the public health system.
Today, April 7, is also World Health Day! This year the topic will be “Depression: Let’s talk.” More than 300 million people are now living with depression, an increase of more than 18% between 2005 and 2015. The focus of this World Health Organization initiative is that more people with depression, everywhere in the world, both seek and get help.
