Caitlin Young is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, mental health advocate, yoga and mindfulness instructor, community organizer and trauma informed care organizational trainer. She began her mental health career as a school-based therapist in East Portland working with elementary and high school aged clients and their families before returning to her native California.
In her work with clients, Caitlin seeks to increase resilience through building trust from the inside out. She currently works as a Resilience Consultant with Oregon’s largest provider of mental and behavioral health care for youth in the state. Caitlin is the lead administrator for the Oregon chapter of the National Building Community Resilience Collaborative and leans into the power of information sharing to create sustainable systems change. She offers trainings to organizations and systems on the topics of resilience-informed care, mindfulness and the development of healthy communication strategies.
