Child & Family Therapist – School BasedLocation: Mid-Willamette Valley School Districts

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week - Exempt
Job Summary: Provides family, individual and group therapy, interviews clients and families and develops a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of new clients. Position is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Individual Plan of Care (IPC), by incorporating and integrating assessment data from other members of the treatment team. Provides clinical guidance and recommendations to other members of the treatment team, coordinates and facilitates treatment interventions and works with therapeutic and other resources in the community on behalf of clients and families. Participates with other treatment team members in developing, coordinating and facilitating community-based support systems and services for families, provides conflict resolution and crisis intervention assistance to families and clients as needed.

|Acting as the Clinical Lead for clients in caseload: including providing QMHP supervision of QMHA unit staff per agency guidelines, recommending interventions, consulting with internal and external teams as needed|
|Case Management and Care Coordination: including utilization reviews, discharge and aftercare planning|
|Facilitating Treatment Meetings: including Individual Plan of Care meetings, family team meetings, and collaboration with community partners|
|Quality and Timely Documentation: including TIER notes, movement team/discharge team emails, and other required documentation|
|Ability to Prioritize Duties to Ensure that Urgent Tasks are Completed as Required|
|Ability to be flexible to meet client and family needs and to adapt to the dynamic residential and day treatment environments: including picking up extra clinical responder shifts, providing additional training for staff, covering for vacations, picking up extra clients as requested|

Education: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or other field which qualifies the candidate to be a licensed professional counselor, clinical social worker, psychologist, or marriage & family therapist in the State of Oregon
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Eligible for certification in the State of Oregon as a licensed professional counselor, clinical social worker, psychologist, or marriage & family therapist. Once hired, the new Child & Family Therapist must agree to register and submit a supervision plan with their applicable licensing board within 3 months from the date of hire to be completed within 24 months. Must maintain a driving record acceptable by the agency and a current driver’s license for state of residence, when authorized to use own vehicle for agency business, employee must maintain personal insurance.
Experience: Two years experience at the QMHA or QMHP level (including internship and practicum experience) in an outpatient mental health treatment facility, hospital, residential or day treatment setting providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and families.
Job Knowledge: Within accepted therapeutic standards and guidelines and Trillium Family Services policy and procedure, determines own therapeutic practices and techniques, consulting as necessary with the Clinical Program Manager who provides clinical supervision to CFT’s. Contributes input to program and new concept development. Work is routinely performed within the task areas defined above, is complex and involves assessment and therapeutic decisions, which directly impact the progress and emotional well-being of clients. Community Services Director, Clinical Program Manager, Clinical Director, and Medical Director routinely review case notes and the treatment plan recommendations. Therapeutic interactions with clients in family, group or individual sessions are monitored and reviewed by the Clinical Program Manager.
