Program/Department: ICTS - Intensive Community Treatment Services
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week
Job Summary: Provides family, individual and group therapy, interviews clients and families and develops a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of new clients. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Individual Plan of Care (IPC) and incorporating and integrating assessment data from other professionals and caregivers involved in the client’s care. Provides therapeutic consultation to other members of the ICTS team as well as to the client’s cooperating systems (school, family, legal, etc.), coordinates and facilitates treatment interventions and works with therapeutic and other resources in the community on behalf of clients and families providing case management as needed. Participates with other treatment team members in developing, coordinating and facilitating community based support systems and services for families. Provides conflict resolution and crisis intervention assistance to families and clients as needed.

|Complete comprehensive assessment of clients to determine client/family need|
|Develop goals and treatment plan to prepare clients for effective functioning in the community|
|Responsible for the development of IPCs in cooperation with and incorporating assessment data from family members and other professionals involved in the case|
|Assign and update DSM IV codes to IPCs, subject to the review of the Medical Director|
|Provide on-going consultation, training and education to community team members (including school, family, legal, etc.) regarding therapeutic interventions, case management and aftercare|
|Proved oral and written consultation to personnel of courts, DHS, Mental Health, insurance companies, juvenile departments, community review boards, schools and other youth serving community organizations, regarding therapeutic interventions|
|Develop necessary social supports for clients and families in their communities, including recommending, coordinating and facilitating treatment interventions and referrals to other treatment resources|
|Maintain written documentation of client progress toward achievement of treatment plan goals and objectives|
|Conduct group, family and individual therapy|
|Facilitate treatment groups, including client and family groups|
|Assess for risk assessments for suicide and refer for further assessment if needed|
|Complete all training required for the position and meet productivity requirements per agency standards|
|Participate in on call pool of ICTS staff members to provide 24/7 coverage|
|Provide ongoing consultation and training to bachelor-level skills trainers for shared clients|
|Provide therapeutic services in the community, schools, and in client’s home, which may require using own vehicle for transportation to these appointments|

Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other field which qualifies the candidate to be a licensed professional counselor/clinical social worker/ psychologist or marriage & family therapist in the State of Oregon.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Eligible for certification in the State of Oregon as a licensed professional counselor/ clinical social worker/ psychologist or marriage & family therapist. Once hired, the new Child & Family Therapist must agree to begin the certification process to become certified as a licensed social worker/counselor within 3 months from the date of hire to be completed within 24 months. Maintain a driving record acceptable by the agency and a current driver’s license for state of residence, when authorized to use own vehicle for agency business, employee must maintain personal insurance
Experience: Two years experience in an outpatient mental health agency, or hospital, residential or day treatment settings providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families. Experience working with or within school settings is strongly preferred.
Job Knowledge: Within accepted therapeutic standards and guidelines and Trillium Family Services policy, procedure, determines own therapeutic practices and techniques, consulting as necessary with the Clinical Supervisor who provides clinical supervision to CFT’s. Contributes input to program and new concept development. Work is routinely performed within the task areas defined above, is complex and involves assessment and therapeutic decisions, which directly impact the progress and emotional well-being of clients. Community Services Director, Clinical Supervisor and Medical Director routinely review case notes and the treatment plan recommendations. Therapeutic interactions with clients in family, group or individual sessions are monitored and reviewed by the Clinical Supervisor.
Skills: Computer skills, i.e., word processing and data entry.
