On May 19, 2019 approximately 5,000 participated in the Portland NAMIWalk to make a statement that mental health matters, and that no one should be ashamed to ask for help. Among the 5,000 people were a few dedicated Keep Oregon Well volunteers. Each NAMIWalks is a 5K (3.1 miles) event that raises awareness about mental illness and raises funds for NAMI organizations across the country. As 1 in 5 adults experiences a mental illness, someone you know and love could benefit from NAMI’s mission.
