Keep Oregon Well
is a public advocacy campaign designed to reduce stigma surrounding mental and behavioral health, build a trauma-informed community, and give people the opportunity to learn more about mental health and stand with those struggling with theirs.

This ongoing community partner spotlight blog series features some of the many caring, talented, passionate organizations it takes to spread the word about Keep Oregon Well throughout Oregon!

Keep Oregon Well Community Partner Spotlight on: Blazer Gang

bglogoWhy does mental health matter to you?

As an organization that represents the community Blazer Gang has seen first hand the impact a lack of understanding and funding for mental health has on each and every one of us. We believe that it is important for us to represent all members of the Blazer Gang community and that means partnering up with organizations like Keep Oregon Well that will help us serve our fellow Blazergonians in the best way possible.

What made you decide to partner with Keep Oregon Well?

We decided to partner with Keep Oregon Well because not only are they an organization that mirrors some of our beliefs when it comes to the needs of the community but also because they, like us, are a grass roots organization that exists only to better the lives of the community they serve.

Keep Oregon Well is centered around wellness and self-care. Tell us about some of the ways you take care of yourself.
In addition to our game day posts and other community events the Blazer Gang staff make sure to take time to have fun with each other, to help each other in our personal lives and to make sure that we are there for one another in all aspects of our day to day lives. Being a part of Blazer Gang, either on the staff or as a fan, means that we are a part of the same family and by caring about the health and mental well being of everyone in our community we are doing our part to help each other live healthy and happy lives.kow-and-bg
