New Psychiatric Consultation Service Opens in Mid-Valley

Diagnostic assessments and medication management can now be accessed more rapidly through a referral from a local pediatrician or primary care physician.  Tim Taylor, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with oversight from Dr. Cindy Smith, Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, provides timely consultations for children and adolescents and their families.

The goal of this new program is to provide quick access to psychiatric services, cutting down on those long initial waiting periods so many families experience.  The program provides insurance billing and discharges a patient back to their primary care physician in 90 days.  Rapid re-referrals are an option if needed.
